Buffalo's Best Dive Bar

Please examine our wide selection of craft beers above. We also offer hard liquor and wine for our patrons who imbibe alcohol, and a wide range of soft drinks for our under age or non-drinking friends. You'll notice that most of our beers are around five dollars each, because we know our clients don't want to pay too much for a fun night.

Our tap list is subject to change, so on a given night, selections may variety. We periodically add new microbrews and seasonal offerings, to give our patrons the best choices. Please note that there are both local and international beer brands. Our clients love options; some have higher end tastes, and some just want a can of PBR! We do not offer bottled beer, due to the rowdy nature of some of our shows. Mosh Pits do not mix with fragile glass.

With our focus on concert goers, we recently added a self-serve water fountain at the bar. Now, our customers who just want water don't have to wait in line with the beverage buying crowd. They can just help themselves, and our bartenders have smaller lines to manage as a result, too.

We even offer coffee, tea and hot cocoa for those cold weather shows, or for customers who want more beverage options.

About Buffalo's Mohawk Place

For almost thirty years, Mohawk Place has brought genuine, high-quality live musical acts to Erie County. In fact, Mohawk Place is a leading Western New York live music venue that attracts a diverse audience by presenting local and national music groups.

Occupying the ground floor of a building from 1896, “The ‘Hawk” originally housed and fed vaudeville performers for several decades before becoming a bar and live music venue that featured legends like Jimi Hendrix, James Brown and Rick James, among other future stars. After closing briefly in January 2013, Buffalo’s Mohawk Place returned without losing any of its mystique or style.

The new owners have fixed up maintenance issues, upgraded the sound, bathroom and plumbing, while remaining a simple neighborhood “dive bar” feel. These days, the bar has become a “rite of passage” for local and regional performers. The bar still brings both veteran and upcoming national acts to Downtown Buffalo.

With dedicated ownership, a knowledgeable booking agent, and some of the best staff in the business, plus a loyal and devoted following, Buffalo’s Mohawk Place is back as Western New York’s premiere medium-sized music venue for decades to come. Contact us today to book a show.
